Good onya faulked.

Ask them why they're ignoring the environmental impact issues like pollution and all the other crap we've brought up in other threads and why they find it necessary to mess with something that is clearly the DPI&F sphere of expertise.

What is the scientific basis for there zones.

What is their response to the DPI&F reports that the bay is in great shape and that rec fishos have insignificant impact.

Ask them if they are trying to protect the 1.7(av)dugong that die from boat strike each year in the bay, how can zones protect them if we are still allowed to boat through the zones:blink:

Ask them if they have talked with the tackle and bait shop and the like, on how it is going to affect their business and if they could survive a severe downturn in cash flow.... Oh no it wont bother them, they will just raise the prices, that means we get kicked twice.

If you would like to go fishing in the bay, dont expect to catch anything but be glad you can buy your bait and tackle at twice the price. That 200 buck day of fishing will turn into 300 and will not really catch anything.

Oh and remind them that "working families have never really been better off".
