hiya guys can any 1 give us some fishing guidelines for the byron bay area thats were my duaghter and son in law live my son in law doesnt fish but my grandson who is 6 is just getting started and when we go out there im going to teach him how to fish.

is there some good fishing around that way or should i be looking to go towards morton bay area im comming in june

Hey beggo cant help you with byron never fished there only surfed and partyed there, their is a place not far north called Brunswick heads on the brunswick river that would well worth going for a fish. Byron Bay has plenty of surf beach some protected , some open to the ocean and rocky headlands that would be good for a fish but not suitable for 6 year olds or the inexperieced. Use google earth to check it out also have a look at Tangalooma wrecks and mud island these are spots we fish:)

thnx AZZA well it looks like were going to staying a bit closer to brisbane in a place called logan so any advice would be great but i see im edging closer to morton bay which i hear alot about

Logan is the city between Brisbane and the Gold Coast. Nice and Central for Morteon bay, quick trip to the gold coast for some fishing! Lots of members nice and close!
