Curtain Artificail

generally you get a lot of undersized snapper. fish just on the top of the drop off (18m-ish) around the tide chages and you should be able to nail a sweetlip, snapper, morwong, parrot (tuskfish) or if all else fails a few decent (30cm+)bream. i have caught cobia there - generally on crappier weather days when every other bugger is still in bed. caught an undersized red emperor there last weekend. i think it must have been lost. benowa or bulwer are just as good overall. keep an eye out for a white and green freedom escape out there on sunday, pop over and say gudday. you bring the beers. Cheers mate - here is a couple of curtain reef specials for your viewing pleasure. strangely enough, both these fish were caught on mullet fillet. the golden was a funny story - glass day on the bay, no-one catching anything on curtain (about 30 boats there) i rock up on my way back from a trist offshore and within 5 min hooked up on this. to say i was hated for a while is an understatement!! :P [img size=500]http://www.australianfishing.com.au/media/kunena/attachments/legacy/images/DSCN6004_AFO.jpg

back to how to fish curtin. try a tide change just on dark little burley ( not too much too many toothies) and try using some of the squid you caught drifting over the weed just south of the reef, both live and heads. have seen some big fish pulled up there. though it has been about 2 years since we fished it.

sounds good mate  mine was destined for the bbq, a few mates, cold beer ahhh... life is tough in paradise ay? B)

totally agree on the change of tide around the change of light, can't beat it. the fewer boats around the better you will do!!!!!
