queensland Schultz Crabbing

Went down to schultz this arvo and put 8 pots in, fished for 1.5hrs to no avail then checked the pots, Pulled up all 8 pots for a total of 4 crabs, 1 female 1 undersize male and 2 legal males. We had 4 wire pots and 4 collapisbles as we were pulling up 1 of the collapsibles the biggest crab i have ever seen in my life escaped just as the pot came out of the water. It woulda been atleast 20cm from tip to tip. So we rebaited the pots and left em out over night, picken them up tommorow morning, Hopefully with a few more crabs.

Btw, We havnt put pots in at schultz for over 5years and were suprised to even get 2 keepers. And the Ramp was no busier than usual, One other person launching on retrieving and the 4lane ramp to ourselfs when launching.

Pretty normal cos 90% of mudcrabs live in mud and weird chemical infested waterways anyway so u just gotta try and not think about where they've come from lol.

good to see some crabs in the river ,1 mite think the famlies raped the place completley ,i hope the pots are well hidden becuase it's highly probable they won't be there when you return such is shultz's, any way the crabs from the the river are as good as any I've eaten crab caught on my line a few times and had no ill effects not sure what the strange bony growth is on my lower back is any way bon apatite

Hahaha yeh well we got their and got no LEGAL MALES and heaps of undersize males and females. I also saw ash in Kriso's old boat.
