Not much to report.

Glenda & I decided to try this spot , a mate has been catching "Big Muddies" there.

We launched at the ramp (next to M1) and headed down towards the mouth. The first thing I saw was about 10 boats , near the train bridge all using "Fly" gear. Watched them for awhile and tried near the canals.

Found the creek he told us about and put out the pots, had a fish & glenda got a nice Cod. Kept running the pots ,only to find undersized bucks & jennies. Shifted camp and came up with a nice buck. Had a few good runs that spat the hooks or busted us off.

Wind picked up after lunch so pulled the gear to come home. On the way back to the ramp I saw a bloke trying to row into the wind & tide. With all the wash from the "Skilice Boats" he was having a hard time.Done our good deed and towed him to the ramp.

No pics ,left the digicam at home

Sure way to boat a fish, bring your wife! The girls take the honours again. Good on ya Glenda, better luck next time Loz;) How are cod (estuary?) on the plate? do you bake whole or fillet?

Estuary Cod are very good eating. But unless they are over 40cm, there's not too much meat on them. They have a very big head:blink:

The cod are good eating, The bigger the better.As cowfish says over 40cm is a good size to fillet, But best under 20kg mark :laugh:

Saw a chap (& and his mates) with a dysfunctional Yammy or Evinrude or something getting towed up the river on Sunday too. Started up the old Merc and gave him a wave:laugh:

If that was about 11 pm, I saw it at Santa Barbara boat ramp on the Coomera.

Oops - sorry to mislead - I was in the Brissie River. It was about lunchtime.
