Bribe canals session

flathead

Well havent made a report for some time now so thought maswell. So me and dad went down to the Bribe canals for a morning session arived there at about 9:00am. started off using sp's ad hb's around private  jettys and promising looking walls i was first to hook up to a nice little 22cm fork bream on a jackel chubby along a rock wall.

Dad pulled a 38cm flatty on plastic off a sand bank straight after that. Things went a bit quite i was casting in between the gaps in the jettys and manged to some how pull a 25cm fork bream out also on a chubby which i then got snagged next cast:( i was thinking about putting my other chubby on but thought against it considering the water was quite shallow and very snaggy more suited to a sx40 which i did not have. A while later dad pulled a 28cm big eye trev on plastic. so i changed to plastics i was flicking it around for a while when i finally hooked on to something a little 28cm pike good fun and then another which was a dawarf of 22cm lol.

there was a fare bit of surface acttion around so i throw my plastic in to a big swrill of action hooked up a little 38cm long tom;) It went very quite after that with only my dad landing another 42cm flatty. we moved into the entrance of the canal there was a lot surface action so i grabbed my slightly heavier outfit with a popper on first cast hooked up to a 49cm long tom and landed a few casts later hooked up again to another long tom this time 59cm a good fight and landed. we were about to leave so i had one more cast sore a big silver flash come up next to the pooper but didnt have a go could of been a queenie i hope good little session

sorry but no pics

cheers callum

Nice work to get that many Long Tom. Did you land them all? They can be pretty hard to firstly hook then stay connected to. They have boney mouths so it's hard to set the hooks on Poppers. Plastics it's pretty easy but they usually just bite you off on the strike. Nice work either way ;) , they are good fun. Did they jump?
