Crazy deep Poltergeists

For those of you who did not see any of the Crazy Deep Poltergeists at Baroon Pocket - here are some pics of my brown one (have not found a purple one yet) they are a bit hard to come by. BCF list them on their site, but the photo is only a 3m one, so will have to go have a look in the shop.

Supposed to be good for 8m plus! (did not have the heart to ask Dan if we could troll his until it started hitting the bottom to check out the depth claim!)

But I am on a mission to score a couple of purple ones!

Good one. I drove all the way to Tackle Warehouse on old Cleveland road to get mine and they had a few more purples and some other colours. The have the biggest range of quality lures I've seen so far in Brissie close to the CBD. Prices are a little higher though but I really don't care.

The purple/silver one that I had at Baroon came from BCF at Virginia, and at the time (last week) they had more, but may have sold out since. Sounds like I was lucky, apart from Amart it was the only place I had looked for them and Bingo!

Ended up taking 4 bass with it, all on the troll.

Yeah, I nearly bought one of those boomerangs after Schultzy had reported on them but the first one I picked up had a crooked bib and it put me off. I'm guessing it was probably 1 in a thousand like that though so I'll probably go buy one next time someone is kind enough to take me out bassin. I found the Poltergeist was very difficult to cast any sort of distance and seems to be more of a trolling lure, how do the predetek lures go with casting? I suppose anything with a giant bib is going to create a lot of drag in the air.

The boomerangs will cast better in the shallower versions but I mainl use them for trolling have caught lots of bass and yellas on them at many dams ultra deep and deep are the main sizes you would use and hot tiger, black bettleand purple are my favourites with hot tiger catching majority of fish at somerset for me.

I like the boomerangs to, but do they do them that small? its only a 50mm lure, the deep boomerangs I have are 80mm (bought for barra) If they do I'll look at them as well!

Feral: Terry gets a lot of his bass on the purple ones. I think it all started with a combination of Lee's magical deep diving purple lures and Schultz's product review. As Lee's lures are hard to come by, the Boomerangs seemed the next best choice. And rightly so!

I got them before I heard schultzy was using the Angus.

Actually - It was a combination of Lee's purple ones, and you mentioning you'd found these purple deep divers:P

I haven't really used my boomerangs in creeks/rivers (saltwater) because I usually end up trying to dredge deep canal in the creekbed.
