Tinnie Rod Holders

Does anyone know where they sell stainless steel rod holders that go in the rowlock holders of your tinnie? I saw someone with some the other day but he had been given them, but they had been brought in Brisbane somewhere.

I would like to know as well. Reelchippy dropped one of mine overboard and stainless doesn't float very well.

My Brother in law owned the tackle shop in town many years ago. He gave me some similar ones, but they rely on a plastic insert. Still do the job, but my other stainless one is lonely.

Bias and whitworths sell them. Bias current catalogue $47 a pair. They come with a warning, they are not suitable for game fish, (you think?) they should be attached to a lanyard.

I bought some very basic ones not long ago from sundown marine at redcliffe. They were just some twisted aluminium rod with a threaded end to drop into the rowlock and a wingnut to keep it in place. They were only about $12 each. When a budget is a consideration these were ideal.
