weekend report

hey all. quite happy with my total catch i decided to do a report just incase others were interested :cheer:

started out on saturday with high hopes after being at school for the past week . at the start within 1minute of my line being in i managed to hook a catty around the 35cm mark.. the hours went by and managed to get myself another 4 cat fish while my mate was reeling in his 3rd pike eel for the day before it busted him of. all which were around the 110cm mark. we kept one and chummed it for a bit of bait and berly to try our luck. i managed to reel in another pike on pike hehe. also around the 110 cm mark. finished the day with 3 pike and about 11 catfish all up.

decided to go out on sunday to try our luck again after the previous day which was pretty good. the start was a bit boring and in 2-3 hours between 3 of us we got about 6-7 catfish and 1 cod bout 22cm. went back to the trusty bretts wharf as our new spot was pretty dull. things were boring. started the pack up when whooosh my line went off. fought for roughly 10 minutes to pull in a very nice grunter bream around the 50cm mark. rode home to fillet and gut it. came back with 4 crabpots, mullet and the bream head to continue the rest of the day. came home with a very nice muddy and finished the day with about 9 catfish a mud crab and the grunter bream on my fish count :cheer:

Nice one mate. My mate and I have also got a big grunter bream off that jetty. Much better eating than normal bream.

haha yea and a much better/bigger fight. i was suprised at the fight it gave

rays or catties kev wich one do you prefer?, i like rays exept when the stick to the floor and ya have light gear , apart from that they are alot of fun.

i got a pic... on my fone.. and i dont have a memory card lol ill try find one. i kind of preffer rays (shovelnose anyway) over catties cos u dont get stung and theyr less slimy lol
