Hi,

Ages ago I fished there a couple of times and only got flatties on plastics and Bream on bait. Just wondering if anyone has had Success there with luring bream and what did the trick? Plastics, HBs and specifics on either?

It's been a long time since I tried there and previously didn't rate it but if there are bream there that will hit bait they should be able to be taken on lures.

Any info appreciated.

i have caught a bream on each of a sx40 sx48 and a manns stretch 5+ in hot pink all trolling slowly with the tide in a yak:)

Yeah, I guess Sx40s would be a no brainer anywhere. I think around those boat though plastics would work better as the fish probably hold up underneath things so skipping jigs under would be the go.

Don't know though really.

cooked prawns are the best bait dont know about lures though mateB)

i have got a few maybe just legal bream on gulp shrimps around the trawlers there..but no real good size about hey

I've never caught anything off the bank there on a lure. Lures only work from the yak when I fish under the trawlers. Bait always does the trick from the bank.

i only catch flatties under the trawlers and i got mine with 4 inch lime tiger gulp and 3 inch gary glitter colour squidgee i think (the black and gold 1) and that was from land

I know we're supposed to start a new thread for reports but it isn't worth it for this one because I only had a really quick session.

Had a crack this arvo for a little bit. Couldn't even get a follow from a bream. Finally got bored so tied on a big curly tailed ecogear plastic and tried for a flattie (first time I'd targetted one in ages). Got a 41cm one in about five casts lol.

I don't think I'll bother with that spot again unless I hear of someone else having success catching bream on lures. The only hits I got that felt like bream were when i cast right out into the main channel.

I was hoping they're be holding under the boats but no go.

just keep folowing the road from the mouth up stream and you'll see em.

Not the best spot. Ok for bait fishing though.
