baitholder/long shank

the partridge ones have two barbs quite high up the shank, and are differet to standard bait holders as from memory, one barb is one side, the other is on the alternate...designed to hold worms on I reckon. I have used them b4, just need to remember the barbs are there and not grab a hooked fish by the shank of the hook:blush:

I agree i've learnt the hardway a few times by grabbing the barb of the hook trying to get the hook out of the fishs mouth.
