Hi all Yakkers,

Personally I prefer the 4stroke merc, but one has to be impressed with this little trophy snap. A lady at work sent it to me. Apparently it was taken off Brunswick Heads recently. I love to know how far the dude got dragged around for! [img size=500]http://www.australianfishing.com.au/media/kunena/attachments/legacy/images/Marlin2_AFO.jpg

Bill74, The angler in the photo is paulo from AKFF.

Some further details about the capture:

It was taken during the AKFF meet down at Southwest Rocks in NSW, it was caught on one of those $79 BCF overhead combos (the cheap and nasty penn GTOs) using a big soft plastic that was trolled behind the kayak. The fight took 3 hours on 30lbs braid and he was towed/fought the marlin (I believe) for several kilometres.

This black marlin weighed in at 78kg.

Hi Terry,

thanks for the low down. i'm not sure what would have worn off first

1) the smile

2) the sore arms

or

3) the sore bum from shitting himself for a total of 3 hours.

what a good advertisement for BCF!

what does it stand for again - Big C@#$ of a Fish?
