GOING TO SANDON any more tips????

on thursday at 6 we are leaving to head to down to sandon river in NSW. Fishyman, Pinky and flathead are also coming.

any one with any tip/past experience that knows a little bout the place could u please let us know.

i have been there on 3 other occasions and have had the bes time ever. on of my most faviourate spots to fish and relax away from everything.

Nope never been there.

I assume your all still under 18. so no licence required - However have a quick check of the NSW regs before you go, there are a few other traps for the unwary.

Wait a sec so Tom didn't need to buy a fishing license that day we went to the Tweed??? Did you end up buying one mate? You might have wasted your money I didn't know you only needed one if you're over 18.

yer im not to sure because i think if u dont live in the state there are diffrent rules but im not quite sure when i find out ill put it up in a post.

I got a fishing licence when i went down to the tweed, cant remember what the rules where tho lol.. i just wanted to be on the safe side.. it was only like $3 or somthing for a month i think

yeah i bought one dan, the guy said i need one so i just assumed that was correct

better safe than sorry I guess. The money is supposed to go back into fishing related things like stocking etc so can't be too annoyed.

Umm i was fishing the tweed a while back and remember researching, If your under 18 you dont need a licence and if you over 18 and "helping" a young kid you dont need a licence, This was a while ago so might pay to check on the nsw dpi website again.

In NSW under 18 dont need a licence. I emailed the NSW DPI a couple of weeks back and asked them - response below.

Thanks for your question. In NSW, you require a fishing licence if you are 18 or over, unless the holder of a current Commonwealth Pensioner Concession Card issued by Centrelink or Veterans Affairs. More information about exemptions is available on the website: http://www.dpi.nsw.gov.au/fisheries/recreational/licence-fee/exemptions
