Who knows whats going on at Rasey Park?

It look awfully like they are putting a boat ramp in at Rasey Park, where the old Hockey fields are (Off Butterfield St Herston). The creek is not real deep there, and the Bowen Bridge stops access to downstream for anything but the lowest boat.

They are doing a huge amount of earthworks as well, like a big parking area.

Anyone got the gos on what they are up to?

Jimmybob, Angus and Terry, might be a new launch spot for some lunch time fishing! I'm sure Poly would help me sneak the geologist's punt out the back gate!

Did a search on the park, and found this site with a lot of photo's of whats going on, but no hint as to what they are doing. Seams to be some WWII buff drooling over the old stuff they have been digging up whilst doing the work.

Best idea I could come up with is one of the Private schools with friends on council is getting a new rowing facility.

That doesn't seem to worry them Terry, look at the cricket grounds out at Toombul, thats a long way from the private school that has them!

Our school is at Spring Hill and we've got our main facilities for cricket, rugby, soccer...etc at Tennyson. And we've got our rowing place backing on to Oxely Ck. So they don't really care where they put them.
