queensland Mouth of Schultz

Watched the first 20minutes of the footy then went down to the mouth of Schultz and spent a few hours fishing.I put the batteries in the portable radio and switched on 612 to listen to the footy, Then I went as far as I could go on the lowtide sandbank and as the tide was rising worked my way back in, Got a heap of casts on a cheapie rapala minnow I bought last week and didn’t do any good, I decided to try a Gulp 2†Shrimp in New Penny on a 1/16 Jig Head, Got a few touches then bam im on, It was a 25cm flathead that fought like a 45cm flathead. Put him back and tried for another 15mins and did no good so put the Shrimp away and tied on a Surecatch popper. Got a bream about 20cm and a small whiting of 10-15cm. Got a bit chilly so went in closer to the beach and tried for another 20minutes their, Did no good so came home to a nice hot shower. Cheers
