credit where credit is due... it's cheap, easy to use, will never rust and is most likely reasonably effective. good on him. bit easier than winding it round a coke bottle. :cheer:

wow, that reel will last for ages! remember plastic's one of the longest lasting material. less moving parts = less wear and tear. simply awesome design!

also notice the lip of the spool, it's got the latest ARC spool design from shimano which's found on setllas!

also, being a shallow spool special reel, it's got hand drag instead of conventional mechanical drag system. what an innovation.

i fished a tournament once in the back end of nowwhere back in zimbabwe. the fishing was tough as, some villager walked down to the waters edge, they had reels just like in the picture and they proceeded to catch fish after fish. they were accurate with their casting. not sure about the warranty though:laugh:
