Ebay tricksters.

Just a tip for people that have not used ebay to any reel extent.

What i have found in Australia is that some sellers have the Price listed is US dollars and not Aus Dollars. In small print under the US dollar price is the actual Australian Dollar price.

Always read and reread the add very carefully before you bid. Adds like these are within the rules but are and can be decieving.

Always clarify an add worded as "as New condition". This is a used item.

Always check postage instruction very carefully. This also applies to the US versus Aus Dollar comment.

here is an example of 1 such add.

Keep your eye on this listing its very cheap at the moment. a last minute bid may secure this at a very cheap price. Unless the seller is dodgy and bumps the price on their own items.

Bid at the very last minute and in 50cent intervals. Lotsa people do this and the price remains lower.

Good luck with your ebay experiences. If done right you can get some bargains.

they reckon in the next 8-10 months it will get to even stevens... who'da thunk it a few years ago when the aussie dollar bought 45c US?

still, gotta make sure of your purchase on ebay. read all the fine print carefully and be 100% sure of what you are buying. there are bargains to be had, but alos some people trying to rip others off in amongst it. very much buyer beware.

What i also find nteresting in the ebay add is it states.

the reel is spooled with 23lb varivas seabass PE which cost me 60aud from japan and it's as thin as 4lb fireline.

Very interesting.

I asked the Ebay seller a question about how many uses the reel had had. The reply i got.

i bought it brand new so i've the 1st hand owner. i'm sure it's been used no more than 5 times.

Very interesting.

The seller of the ebay reel also purchase on ebay just recently

2 new megabass vision 110 lapstick (1in gold and 1 in Silver)

Very interesting.

Now i am really confused.

I asked the seller of the ebay reel a question about the auction.

Q1. Why was the Auction Description changed.

It seems to be changed according to what has been said in this thread.

Q2. I asked the seller if i could look at the reel before bidding.

I got 2 answers.

A1. No

A2. You welcome to look before bidding Shortie. (As i do not use Shortie on Ebay it sems this mystery seller knows me.
