Tilapia Cull Money

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone.

This seems a bit late but I have not been able to attend an earlier meeting.

Tonight at the monthly meeting of the Pine River Fish Management Association, $400 plus some shrapnel will be handed over. Thanks the members who attended this event.

These funds are going straight into bass and toga fingerlings.

Due to the success of the first one I have been asked to organise another Tilapia Cull at Lake K later in the year :)

Thanks again guys.

Good, Angus should be on his way by now, I've got the camera in my back pocket, I'll try and ambush him handing it over!

should sneak him a few bucks for exclusive yak access *cough*

I mean

Top stuff angus! I think north pine could be a very good toga fishery if they get a big enough breeding population in there, once a good breeding population takes hold and given a few more years to breed to the numbers like borumba.. :woohoo: that'd be awesome.

One of the members of the Kurwongbah stocking association told me they have already put 50ish breeding pairs of Toga in the lake as well as aheap more fish, all were about 55cm when released. Shouldn't take to long for it to be very fishable.

Yeap. Thanks to the Volunteer hours AFO members clocked up the state Govt chipped in a further $7000 which secured the future breeding stock of toga and bass for the dam. If thats not something to be proud of I dont know what is.
