queensland cobia and snapper

went out of the goldie yesterday and got a 30 lb cobia and a 14 lb snapper..lost another 2 cobia..got a heap of trag jew and a few smaller snapper..will post pics when they are resized

Nice work mate, some very nice fish there! How far out were you & what did you get them on if you don't mind me asking?

beautiful fish m8. as mangler said, can u tell us baits? how far out etc?

not far out at all fellas,maybe a mile or 2...was using pillys and squid but got the cobia on live slimeys

Think ur scales might be out mate. That snapper ain't 14lb. Maybe it was a typo? Looks like about 2.5 to 3 kg to me. Still good fish and nice eating size.

oops yeah i meant 4kilos..

yeah great feed ellicat,cooked some cobia up last night..i forgot how good it tastes makes eating the snapper taste like soap

love fresh cobia... crumbed, deep fried with a few chips and some salad. pretty hard to beat!

yeh i wasn't saying that i now knew where the spot was it's just cool to know that it was close in and not like 40km offshore.

yeah mate it was close,you could paddle a yak to where i was fishing on a good day..
