queensland cast netting "master bait class"

hi all,

in line with batman's thread on cast netting, i have invited batman and malcom down to the port tonight to watch how a pro, sorry i mean rank amateur goes about it seeing as though i was heading there already! throwing the invitation out there for anyone else who wants to tag along, meet in the dirt car park across the bridge at about 445 - 5pm. let me know if you plan on coming, would be great if you could BYO net - my number is 0422 377 848 for those needing directions etc. will probably hang around for a while and throw a bait or two in and see what happens after the cast netting.

yeah mate, out to the port, across the bridge past the servo (watch the fixed speed camera) and then in the dirt carpark on the left straight after the bridge. look for a white prado and a bogan or two - i'll be one of them!

Benno got plenty of bait and some large Gar in his cast net but that was about it.Benno tried really hard to improve my cast netting skills but I guess some of us just can't be taught:blush:

yeah bait was collected, some of the gar fish went well in the frypan last night (some of them were that big!). malcom has all the theory for cast-netting, however, the putting it into practice bit is proving far more difficult. i'm sure with some practice he'll get there.

i'd also like to apologise to batman - i left my phone in the car and missed his calls trying to find where we were. so mate - sorry, i owe ya a beer or three. :blush: and a cast-netting lesson or two... :blush:
