queensland College's Crossing 29th

Hi all, might be going to Colleges Crossing sunday for a family/friends BBQ get togther, am also taking the rods.

I have a fly rod (unused) is it worth using it (try to)and look stupid or just take the bream outfit to catch the odd flatty bream etc....

Is it also worth me loading the kayak?

there is a great stretch for paddling upstream from there. Last reports I have seen, it is very overgrown with weed though:(

tide is about 3 hours different to brisbane bar. Will be fine in a paddle yak

if you wanna reload on bait. bring some bread and a float and paddle out to where no one is in the water, some massive mullet there! also quite a few rat bream.

Interesting comment that Kriso. When I was at Hastings Point in NSW some time back, the river was FULL of stonking big mullet. We tried hard to tempt them on bread without any luck. Caught a fair few bream on bread though. So do the mullet at colleges take bread?

when the mullet wont take bread try green weed that grows on rocks in fresh water
