Thanks heaps Jeff,

Do you think you could perform the knife sharpening demo?

Only a couple of rules....

No bad language over the microphone lol

and stretch it out to last a little while. Even if you just repeat yourself several times lol

Hey all, please also see the 'SEAK Kayak Trolley' thread.

It is an additional AFO special offer for the night.

Nah only kidding, I will be there for a while, shirt, beanie and all.

Gus - Did you see my suggestion on previous page about some sort of a5 flyer for the punters?

Ill be there.

And good call Booty.

Should all happen around 7pm.

Not exactly sure what fish yet.

Most likely popular local species such as Snapper.

As for sharpening gear and knives, i (personally) want to avoid writing off much stock just for a demonstration.

The more i can keep costs down on events like this, the longer my management will allow me to support AFO and conduct further events.

So i have a Svord filleting knife, a stone and a Diamond Sharpening steel (all products that Anaconda stock) that i will bring in.

As time gets closer, I will find out exactly what extra gear i have available to use off the shelf.

i still have both middle ones to raise in your direction shortie...

nasty - i had a bit of a brain wave. a lot of people have been asking me if i can teach them how to throw a cast net. maybe we could incorporate this into the night as well as part of the demos? :S

Nice thought Benno...

But I have already thought of that one and i plan to save it for another night where i'll organise a kids event.

A bit of castnet throwing lessons, rod and reel casting lessons and competitions, handlining, rigging demo's and maybe even bait presentation.

But, great initiative.

I love the enthusiasm and i will call on AFO assistance come the time.

Cheers,

Michael

I'm thinking of hitting up Schultz to catch some Flathead for the demo;)

I would only be able to go on Wednesday though, so the fish might be a bit stiff by the time the demo is on:dry:

I'm looking forward to it, should be a good laugh:laugh:

Be careful with them knives fellah's;) :P

i have suggested flathead to michael. they are actually one of the easiest fish to fillet when you know how... i'll teach ya paul. ;)

mate it's about the only fish I can fillet without butchering it. I find them much easier than bream etc. For those that don't know one of the good techniques they can be pretty daunting.

Hey guys, this might be stating the obvious but ...

At this night there will surely be a lot of people who have not heard of AFO. So if anyone who has AFO merchandise (hat, shirt etc), I would love to see a show of AFO pride!

Cheers.
