Looking for Bait Northside of Brissy

hi im looking to get some herring but im having trouble finding a decent spot

there used to be shit loads off the redcliffe and of hornibrook bridge but for the last 1 1/2 years there been bugger all

im also thing of digging sand worms we went down to scots point last year at the similar time of year but it was hard diggin g

but i got some

maybe i am to unfit

can any one give me some tips on where to look for these baits thanks

go to the redcliffe bridge around the high tide slack water. burley up with bread. you will find this attracts herring and hardyheads as well. also, in cabbage tree creek is another spot worth looking, and all around the port of brisbane at whyte island (i know it is southside but only just!) and the jetty at colmslie is not too bad either.

i find that whenever i go down to the shorncliffe pier with a cast net and jig in hand i have little trouble catching bait of some sort. hearing and harty head mainly but on a good day ive pulled 6-10 yellow tail pike. i like to throw the cast under the jetty from the little area at the bottom of the stairs out at the end..
