Went with Rocket and John Ford and had a great day.

Fish were a bit slow but at least no donuts and very good quality.

No luck on hardbodies, spinnerbaits ,soft plastics and tt switch blades.

All caught on live shrimp.

First two were caught around white bouy in Billies Bay.

John was first on the board with this one.

around 46cm from memory.

Then Rocket got a silver .

Went trolling again.

Here is the bassmaster and crew hard at it in fearsome conditions.

Dont know how we put up with it while all you people are hard at work earning money to pay taxes to support we pensioners.

We then found some more fish on the drop off on the point opposite Billies bay and it was Rockets Turn for another fat one.

I finally broke my duck with a baby of 42cm.

And John finished off the day with a 50cm fatso.

Knocked off at 2pm with still glassout conditions. We just couldnt bear it any more thinking of you all hard at work.

Cheers

Ray

Thanks to Ray and John for the invite and company.

It was a good day indeed with some solid fish and great scenery.

Was suprised to catch a nice silver perch today, it was my first:woohoo: and now gets crossed off the freshwater species hit-list.

Those big ass (and belly!) bass sure know how to throw their weight around and gave us some hectic drag-screaming moments to brighten our day.

Oh how I wish I too was retired, alas I will have to wait another 35 years or so:P

With any luck my new job will still allow some midweek fishing opportunities:)

Photo of my first Silver Perch.
