going to eprapah creek tomorrow morning for a bit of trolling and maybe live baiting. mate (tj_tom_rules) will be cast netting and we will be rowing in his tinny. he's getting motor tomorrow hopefully so we'll be able to go around a bit more. will let everyone know how we go and if anyone wants to add any tips or advice feel free!

Oh and does anyone know if the storms will hold up for tomorrow in the redlands?

mate weather zone has predicted some wild weather for all this weekend,every storm has the potential to produce hail and serve wind so they say..

prior to a storm also the potential of some good fish. jacks love it .

got out yesterday at about 9 tide was really low even though it was low tide an hour or 2 ago. we put the crab pots out with some fresh mullet which was caught in cast net week or 2 before. we trolled a pink and a green micro mullet with only 1 small cod caught. After that we stopped further up the creek and had a go at cast netting . I would position tom (tj_tom_rules)when he threw the net at a school of mullet which where jumping on the surface. At the end we picked up the pots and two of them had mauled baits with no crabs and the last one had a huge female inside so let her go.

So in all we caught 1 cod, about 30 - 40 mullet which have been kept and frozen, a small flathead in the castnet (about 30cm) and a big female crab. No prawns yet but they'll come out in a few months times i'm told.
