The Old Irish Joke John O'Reilly hoisted his beer and said, "Here's to spending the rest of me life, between the legs of me wife!" That won him the top prize at the pub for the best toast of the night! He went home and told his wife, Mary, "I won the prize for the best toast of the night." She said, "Aye, did ye now. And what was your toast?" John said, "Here's to spending the rest of me life, sitting in church beside me wife." "Oh, that is very nice indeed, John!" Mary said. The next day, Mary ran into one of John's drinking buddies on the street corner. The man chuckled leeringly and said, "John won the prize the other night at the pub with a toast about you, Mary." She said, "Aye, he told me, and I was a bit surprised meself. You know, he's only been there twice in the last four years. Once he fell asleep, and the other time I had to pull him by the ears to make him come."

The Itch Once upon a time lived a beautiful Queen with large breasts. Mick the Dragon Slayer obsessed over the Queen for this reason. He knew that the penalty for his desire would be death should he try to touch them, but he had to try. One day Mick revealed his secret desire to his colleague, Horatio the Physician, the King's chief doctor. Horatio thought about this and said that he could arrange for Mick to more than satisfy his desire, but it would cost him 1000 gold coins to arrange it. Without pause Mick readily agreed to the scheme. The next day, Horatio made a batch of itching powder and poured a little bit into the Queen's bra while she bathed. Soon after she dressed, the itching commenced and grew intense. Upon being summoned to the Royal Chambers to address this incident, Horatio informed the King and Queen that only special saliva, if applied for four hours, would cure this type of itch, and that tests had shown that only the saliva of Mick would work as the antidote to cure the itch. The King, eager to help his Queen, quickly summoned Mick to their chambers. Horatio then slipped Mick the antidote for the itching powder, which he put into his mouth, and for the next four hours, Mick worked passionately on the Queen's large and magnificent breasts. The Queen's itching was eventually relieved, and Mick left satisfied and hailed as a hero. Upon returning to his chamber, Mick found Horatio demanding his payment of 1,000 gold coins. With his obsession now satisfied, Mick couldn't have cared less and, knowing that Horatio could never report this matter to the King and with a laugh told him to get lost. The next day, Horatio slipped a massive dose of the same itching powder into the King's underwear. The King immediately summoned Mick. The moral of the story............ Pay your bills!!!

    Kayak fishing for Sails

This was only my 3rd time out a kayak... had been to some small lakes in Johor. Me and my kayak buddy decided to go out to Kuala Rompin and target the Sails, as its that time of the year that they're all around and 'boiling'... Managed to get some shots, although it may not be that good... The few sails that we got that day were all released safely. The best part of the trip and catch was when the sail literally 'dragged' my kayak around and it felt like a motorised yak... :)

    My maiden kayak trip

Got myself a Malibu Kayak and went on my first trip to a lake nearby the KongKong river in Johor, Malaysia. Watched the Eng-USA game the night before and only had a couple of hours sleep before we packed and went for some yakking and fish. The weather was clear blue skies, mirror-calm waters but hot! Planed for a hour or so and flicking our lures here & there but no bites although we could see splashes... till the local ranger started to horn and flashed his headlights (from a distance), trying to catch our attention and telling us that this was a restricted area... We were thinking... 'what...". There were no signs at all to indicate it being a restricted area. Furthermore, we had to do a bit of off-roading to get to the launch area and thought that this would be a good spot.... Nevertheless, we still had a good workout on our yaks... :)

It was raining on the 1st day, hot, humid and muddy... but on the 2nd, it was extremely hot! Anyway, hope you guys will enjoy the pics... Cheers! Jon

    Scenes from Hanoi

Pictures of various scenes taken during my trip to Hanoi in Dec '08. The place is amazing! Being able to walk on the streets is like an achievement! You have thousands of bikes coming from everywhere and one wonders how they ever go on with their daily lives without much accidents. Honking your horn is a must... Anyway, there's still so much to see and do... will definitely be back there again. Oh, and they also have the cheapest beer in the world which cost only $0.10 a glass (if I remember correctly)...

    Travels - Nepal, India, Thailand...

Pics (35mm slides) taken during my travels in these parts back in '88/'89. It was a year before Nepal gave up its kingdom status... Lucky to have been there then but really wonder how it's like now... If anyone have some recent pics of these places, do post them here and let's share them... Cheers! Jonathan

    Kelong Fishing

Kelong is a Malay word to describe a form of platform made from the nipah wood and is situated offshore. It can be found in waters off Malaysia and Indonesia. Built by fishermen long time ago for fishing purposes and as a place for resting and to also provide cover for the strong monsoon winds. Today, it\'s more for recreational purposes whereby, you get families going out to Kelongs for the weekend to just rest and relax and to fish of course. These are actually huge FADs, cos of the food and scraps that\'s being discarded from time-to-time. During bad weather, it\'s also good for fishos who just needs to fish and can\'t go out deep sea cos of the monsoon season. Kelongs are built but by using rattan to bind the wood and nails to the planks and so on. It\'s anchored about 6 metres into the seabed, and have lengths upwards of about 20 metres.
