  1. Didn't get any photos but came back in from a paddle in the yak yesterday and noticed police boat parrked at the ramp, and cop cars everywhere. There was a car underwater after a handbrake failure. Not good for the guys involved. They were waiting for a crane to pull the car and trailer out.
  2. Thanks for the replies. Will keep it all in mind while researching some more.
  3. Hey everyone, My son is getting too big to fish out of the back of my Kayak, so I was going to take him on a charter in the Bay. He has never been in a boat before so figure something like this would be a good start. Has anyone used Smooth Water Charters and if so have any thoughts on them? The price I was quoted for a private charter for 2 was pretty good, however went on a charter out of Noosa last month and was not really impressed with them, so I plan on doing my homework this time.
  4. Hi Bulldog, I have a pair of Mako Sleek 9371 with the glass copper photochromic lenses. Very good glasses and the lens adapts to the light conditions. I have only used them a handful of times because I am usually too lazy to take them, and I just end up using my Oakley's. If you are keen I might be willing to let them go for a lot less than a new pair would set you back. Search them online if you want and let me know.
  5. This one would also be worth a look, similar to the Galeforce and Bonito, obviously an inspection would be needed being an older refurburded hule, but it looks good. https://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/noosaville/motorboats-powerboats/fiberglass-center-console/1140363935
  6. I have seen some very nice Bonito boats getting around lately. They are a local builder and look very solid.
  7. One of our Shepards giving the young fellas face a bit of a clean. We have an Island bench in the kitchen and they will chase each other for hours if you let them.
  8. There are Tilapa in the little creek near Ormiston College, however they spook easy due to the shallow water and excellent visibility.
  9. Our sometimes good sheps, when there not up to mischief.

  11. If you can find a nice rock wall or canal opening use the live bait rig Tomca suggested, you can also add a stinger hook at the tail. For lures I have caught 90% of my jacks on Gold Bombers, a better Jack lure you will never buy (my opinion only). The only promblem with them is the price, so when you get smashed it is hard on your wallet. I find that a short 20cm wire trace helps save a lot of lures. Mono trace just doesn't cut it with these fish.
