Yeah it could be that the reporter asked if the prawns had been dumped, and got a standard not confirming or denying response. so the reporter added the bit about possible dumping.
Could we see the ban on taking crabs, prawns etc extended from say Victoria point to the seaway?
There is a story on the ABC news website today that more than 100 prawns had been found with the virus south of the river mouth.

There is a hint at the end of the article from the fisheries agent that the infected prawns may have been dumped by one of the farms

If you can see Tillies nesting, you can swim a small lure into their nest area and they will attack it to chase it away. Still hard to get them to bite the lure, but possible.
