    I think you can only buy them south of the Brisbane River, no body on the Northside team needs that kind gear. Not with the secret spots we have .

    I weighed it about 5 times on 3 different sets of scales, not doubting anybody, but a 9+ or 10kg snapper is a serious beast of a fish . Seen plenty caught by close mates, and when u see one its amazing , completey different class of fish.

    Nope yet to get that magic meter fish 97cm is my best and that fish was 8.8kg very very skinny fish. Yet a 87cm male snapper I got along way back went 8.99kg, yet to crack into the 9kg bracket. But i know inhave lost plenty bigger.

    92cm and released for another day, she was was full of roe and swam away strong.

    Hows about i put you in my boat and get you hooked up to something where you can't lift the rod up off the gunnel during the 1st run and show southsiders what real fish are.

    This banter seems to be getting interesting, I just booked a bit of time off during those comp dates, hopefully put a few good fish in the boat and bring some respect back for the Northside crew. Good luck Gents

    I have snapper fever also mate. Already got 3 or 4 trips lined up from Sunday onwards.

    Sound Like Good Times at Curtain gents, Well Done, Love the fish tank size Red Emperor too, they are such a good looking fish and fight hard for there size, The kingies @ Curtains are really switched on they know when a bait or livie has a hook in it the buggers, , been there in years past watching guys with 80lb jigging gear getting blown away by them , Some how they know how to use the current & structure to there advantage, I might have to go have a play considering the snapper ban is keeping me off the water

    Definitely agree @Sneaky1, At the end of the day it ruins it for those who play by the rules, because the next fisheries review may very well be a lot larger in "no take" than this year. Really hope they are dealt with sternly,.
