    Whales

More traffic on the water and a growing whale population.
  2. @ellicat any chance you can PM me the details of the guy who did your plate?
  3. Hardest part is going to be deciding where to fish.
  4. Just the one school mac. Plenty of current, hard to stay on the bottom in 20m of water.
  5. @benno573 Managed to go out on Saturday without a drama. I used about a tank which is 70l for 120k's of travel. I did suggest to the wife about sleeping the night @ bulwar, but didn't. However comming across the bay at 3 in the morning. There we so many boats anchored up for the night it looked like christmas lights on the water. Conditions were great, was a bit lumpy out on the reefs.
  6. I thinking might just stick to the inside of morton. It's probably just out of reach with my fuel capacity.
  7. 70l, but on bigger trips like that i'd take a 20l spare, mabye a second. Worst case, See half left on the guage and turn around with a jerry spare (good ol' Jerry)
  8. Just sucks living in redcliffe that the distance to travel to those grounds is so far. Loose over half a tank, just there and back.
  9. Cheers, will map it out. Might be pushing my fuel limit.
  10. Swell is looking to be a bit over a meter. Would that be much of a drama?
  11. Hi All Since Saturdays looking like it's going to be a cracker, I'm looking at streching my comfort zone a little and heading off to fish the reeds of cape moreton. I've done a few trips over to moreton (tangalooma) and i've done the **** 2.5 hour trip back in garbage weather. But I'm wondering based on what the Winds doing Saturday 5~10 knots westelys swinging to northlys, if I trip like that would be worth it? Should add i've got a 04' 5.2 formosa
  12. Goods size, I've caught them that big in the pine targeting sharks. Very angry fish, I don't even bother getting my hooks back anymore.
  13. Long time lurker first post I have been keeping this spot quite as I've been trying for the Past Few weeks with no Avail. First spotted it scouting out another spot. *Take the Gravel exit before the pine river bridge *Follow the dirt road to the end and you will be greeted with a gate *Take the right turn at the gate and follow the dirt track down beside the high way *Follow the fence line and you will find a hole in the fence (The drain is not apart of the quarry, it is the drainage system to collect rubbish before it enters the pine.) At first count I saw about 40. Some looking to be absolute monsters, around the 40cm mark So far I have Tried - Sessions at Dawn, Mid Morning, Late Afternoon ~ Evening, Night - Each Time Tried, Live Worms, Peeled Prawns, Dough, Burleyed up with Bread every-time - Tried Under a Float, Small Pea Sinker, No Sinker. - Flick soft plastics and some bass lures You can quite literately swim your worm right in the face of them and they won't turn for anything. I can't figure it out. Not to sure what they are feeding on, I have seen a school of mullet swimming around too. />https://maps.google.com.au/maps?q=-27.293327,153.01805&ie=UTF-8&hq=&hnear=0x6b93e3546361c9a1:0xbde2ec652fb7ea4d,-27.293327,153.01805&gl=au&ei=ebp5UrzvCOaiigevt4HQCg&ved=0CCsQ8gEwAA Would be a good public service if someone can get down there and clean it out whilst they are trapped. I would imagine if we start to good down pores they would be free to start traveling back up stream. Post up your results if you do. Callum
