fishinfox got a reaction from ellicat in Plastics
Yes Gulp plastics are biodegradable but will still take 2 years to disintegrate in salt water ( less time in land fill). Fish don't usually eat the plastics so best to keep all the plastics you use and take them home and bin them if possible.
Most brands of plastics won't disintegtate in the near future. Keitech plastics are also biodegradable and I tend to use them and gulp plastics these days.

fishinfox got a reaction from fishingnut in Lake Macdonald Bass Fishing
Headed out to Lake Macdonald on the Sunshine Coast on Saturday morning. Perfect weather. I'm pretty new to bass fishing but set up the gopro and put together a short video of some of the fish I caught.
Pretty pleased to catch a few that day although none of them were huge.

fishinfox got a reaction from Drop Bear in Kayak (which One)
Hi mate, as MSB mentioned the viking profish 400 is an awesome yak. I weigh in at 100kg and it feels very stable when I have an Esky on board filled with Ice, rods, sounder and the centre well filled with jighead, plastics etc. I've had mine for 4 years now (uded every weekend) and its still going strong. I've taken it on a 3 night camping trip and had no issues. It can take 175 kg so unlikely to have any issues there. I really like how light it is which makes it easy to carry short distances and load on the car. I attached a picture of my setup. New they area around $1500 but a second hand one with a sounder tends to go for around $800 - $1000. If you have any questions let me know.

Thanks mate. Its near Noosa on the Sunshine Coast. Best get in this year before the dam gets drained.

Just started using it recently. Great dam like you say. Looks like it'll be shut for a couple of years from the start of 2020 for some work.
Hope they don't end up losing all the fish. 😞

Thanks. Its a bit of a learning curve with the bass. Going to make sure I get a few more sessions in over winter.
