  1. we have a black queen as well its been the goto rod when biting is shy. up the river hawkbury i haven't ever fished but wanted to. i have heard of people catching off the carnivore covered rocks with chicken as bait and do ok possibly because the fish want to know what it is why not chuck a bit of fish fillet out for them maybe entise a bite or two. as for the op a different bait might be worth a try like worms or crickets.
  2. Thinking about Here (in the photo). this is the first one I've seen caught with my very own eyes other than the barra my grandpa bred for the hatchery that he kept at home. also been lureing for them around the creeks and inlets near where this was caught.
  3. good timing as the barramundi season opens on my birthday 1st of feb. good time to start spinning for some mackeral in the bay the next two weekends before (fingers crossed). got to hone those skills in for when i go chasing the those big biting creatures.
  4. i've owned an ugly stick as far back as i can remember. they survive a fair bit of tough stuff with out so much as a concern for damage on fish. and i've never known them to be a two piece.but WHO KNOWS what they are making now. i am this close to buying myself a couple of new sticks for next years barra season opening, which just happens to be on my birthday.
  5. why not a little bit farther north to airlie that's where i intend to be going. might be doing a few overnighters in a yacht if i play my cards right. between airlie beach and 1770 fishing would be awesome. still prepping up for this one.
  6. dark looking bass, it certainly looks pretty big for a creek that size.
  7. Just got a new clear rio and a leather travel fly vice and kit for all the fly tieing i'll be doing while moving around to my new place. much rather be fishing. tbh haha anything like the other cheapies this one will get smashed.
