It’s like 50-70% of reviews though idk if it’s worth risking $20 And usually when it comes to reviews of braid if one problem is common theme it’s not a good sign I’ll check it out I’ll probably end up buying it I’m gonna take your word for it wish me luck. I’ll either get j braid x4 or the pryml x4 as their both the same price

Ok I’ll check out pryml yeah I for some reason shimano’s 1000 reels have a ton of line cap . Hence why I don’t use 2500 reels for bream and flathead I use 1000-2000 reels

I use to use Zman plastics they work great but now I use baitjunkie plastics the reason being the baitjunkies are 10 times easier to rig straight they seem to be a little bit tougher then zmans but still have a great action .The packaging is also a lot better . And overall they just seem to be a upgraded version of the zman plastics I used to use.
some people feel the same way as I do about the baitjunkie plastics some people hate them but overall they are by far the best mass produced soft plastics I've used in my opinion
I rig mine up with TT lures jigheads and I've had zero issues with them.
    hope that helps.

all good. if you have any questions me or any of the members on this website are happy to answer them . you could also ask the staff at tackle shops or a tackle world/bcf they usually fish themselves and know a thing or 2 about fishing in the area .

yeah as for colours i mainly try to get at least 3 different colours .
1 motor oil / a natural brown olive colour
    2 a whitebait/mullet colour
3 a bright/unnatural colour like bright green or pink
this covers most of my plastic fishing ill have 3 small curly tails with 3 different colours 3 small minnows with different colours and 3 bigger minnows with 3 different colours this pretty much covers everything . i have 3 styles of plastics with 3 different colours for each one . hope that helps

Hey Damo. It’s a 24 foot aluminium longboat with a 140 Suzuki on the back. Soon to be based in Cairns for easy access to remote trips in the Cape and Gulf. Rides so nicely.

Went out with a couple of mates on Tuesday in my mate’s new boat. He wanted to get some hours up on the new motor. So the plan was to tour Moreton Bay and drop a line every now and again.
Left Victoria Point at the gentleman o’clock (8.30am) to a moderate SW breeze and did a bit of running around the southern Bay Islands. Stopped at one of them for a fish around the last of the run out tide, with a few undersize squire coming over the gunnel and lots of pickers. Moved to Peel where there were more unders before finally boating a legal squire. Only 40cm but we were off the donut.
Did a lap of Peel, then headed to Blakesleys for a lunch stop and stretch the legs. Then up past Dunwich for a cruise to check out the bar. No intention of crossing, just sightseeing. Saw some dolphins working in the shallows in the exact spot where I saw dolphins herding a school of snapper a few years ago. On the way up we saw a few boats circling around an area in the Rainbow Channel. We thought why should they have all the fun, so motored over and started trolling hard bodies. No luck. I had one paravane in the tacklebox so threw that out and had instant success. Caught 2 decent macs in quick succession, then handed the rod to my mate who dropped 3 in a row. Just unlucky, I guess.
Then as he was dropping the paravane back into the water it was hit before it went more than 10 metres. Fish on before a strange thing happened. The rod tip started bouncing in a weird way for a couple of seconds before the line went slack. The 40lb almost brand new braid had parted just back behind the boat. We can only assume, there was a fish on the spoon, but something else hit the braid accidentally and did the damage? In any case, my only paravane was gone and didn’t float to the top, so if you catch a mackerel in the Bay and there is a paravane attached, let me know. Shame because there was not shortage of hits to keep us entertained.
We headed for home after that. My mate was happy, s few hours up on the motor and some blood in the new boat. We each had a fish for dinner and it was a great day to tour the Bay.
    Thanks for reading.

the red rock cod / scorpion fish are very tasty but certainly require care when filleting.
good to get a few different species there.

    Thanks Doughnuts.
Thanks ubnt. I think the Sedona 6000 is the perfect size reel for Jew and threadfin fishing landbased in the river. It fits plenty of 30 pound braid nicely and casts well too.
Thanks Brodie, hopefully they continue to get better as well. 🙂
Cheers Steve, I guess the fish are following the prawns. Hopefully there’s still some prawns left when the trawlers are done.

Even if you don’t catch another fish over the holidays, Hamish, you have had a fantastic break! Great Jew! I have noticed the prawn trawlers working around the city reaches lately so the must be fish throughout the system at the moment.

Caught the first fish on fresh yellowtail off the rocks never seen or caught a fish like this in my life decent sized but not massive put it back to grow bigger and was unsure of eating quality ( after some research I believe this fish is a yellowbanded Wirrah or Acanthistius cinctus )

also caught a scorpion fish I believe but wasn’t certain and also heard they are venomous and didn’t wanna risk getting an injury trying to fillet it so I put it back. Looks small in photo but was quite decently sized caught on yellowtail off the rocks as well

yeah catch a lot of different species off the rocks we also hooked up to a big stingray and big wobbegong both released and a big tailor that bite through my leader as I brought up the rocks and feel back into the water was bummed about that but overall had a good day. Always losing grouper and other species as well might have to use heavier mainline
