G'day all, I purchased a tinny a few months back without a Hull identification number. I have had the trailer inspected and that has all gone through ok and I've registered that. Now I know I can't go ahead with boat rego until I get a HIN, is it as simple as going into the department of transport and buying one or is there more to it? Help would be much appreciated. Cheers Joseph

G'day all. I'm hoping to get my kayak out on the weekend and was wondering where the raby bay reefs are. I've heard they hold some nice squire and the odd snapper and would like to work out where it is so I can fish it on my kayak (Viking espri). If anyone could please give me some maps, charts or coordinates I would really appreciate it. Also, how is it best fished. Cheers Joseph

G'day everyone, thinking of trying Wellington point soon but never fished there before. I'm really big on live bait fishing and was wondering if there's much that hangs around under the pier. Should I use live bait jigs or a net and what bait have people been getting. Also, what fish other than bream, Whiting, flathead have been getting caught recently. What baits and techniques have people had most luck with in the past. All replies will very much appreciated. Cheers Joseph.

Hello all, the other week I went down and fished at the Manly rockwall. after fishing for about half an hour I had ended up with a pike which I somehow landed a pillie on 5/0 gangs. I cut it up as strip baits and sent it back out, after a few hours of waiting I hooked up to a shovelnose shark. It was a super fun fight and ended up measuring 140cm (Then released him). If people could please give me some tips on how to catch pike consistently, that would be much appreciated. Cheers Joseph.

Thanks mate. I also walk out from the pelican thingo and fished the spot just to the right of the channel marker that you see when you look out at from the park. I use live yabbies on a size 1 long shank, roughly a 60cm trace and to a swivel and a small sinker. When I was there I also got a few squire, a couple grunter and some other undersized Whiting. But probably the coolest thing that happened when I was there was a massive flatty smash up some bait just in front of me. He was bigger than my best flatty (74) so maybe around the 80 mark. If you could let me know how you fish it/ what fish you have pulled from the creek I would appreciate it. Thanks

G'day all, I went and tried out the mud flats at Tingalpa creek mouth and had a good fishing session on Sunday. With a 24 and a 28cm Whiting I was pretty stoked. I was just wondering if the rain will affect the tide heights around Saturday as I don't really want to show up and have nowhere to fish . Any answers would be appreciated but people who have tried the spot before would be amazing. Have a good rest of your weeks fellas

G'day fishos. I'm looking at going down to the Brissy river in the next couple of days targeting threadies. I will probably fish near the gateway bridge but know completely nothing about fishing threadies. I'm looking at cast netting some herring and prawns and using live bait. What are the best rigs and what size hooks and sinkers should I be looking for to use. Any other tips will also be appreciated. Thanks

G'day all. I'm heading out to coochiemudlo island with a mate on the weekend and am open to any tips for fishing coochie this time of year. What are going as the best baits/rigs/spots for the island. I will appreciate any thoughts. Thanks

G'day all. I'm thinking I'll put in my kayak at the boat ramp down at lota and head out to fish the mouth. I am looking to get a feed for Christmas. What I would be targeting would be anything that's good on the table. What fish are people getting at the mouth of the creek around this time and what bait is most popular. All answers will be appreciated. Thanks

Thanks guys. Would that sort of battery be suited for marine and is it ok to get wet or would I need to get a waterproof battery box for it? And also, whats a good sounder. I was looking into getting the Lowrance hook 2 but what's a good sounder under about $150, thanks.
-
G'day all. I have recently bought myself a Viking espri. It's been a great yak but I would love to get a sounder for it. I know a fair bit about the sounder side of it but not about the battery. Does anyone know any good battery's for the kayak that are under $100. Thanks

Hi all, I'm looking for some tips for targeting some bass in the Bulimba creek area. I have done tonnes in the way of bait fishing but absolutely nothing in the way of lure fishing so I will need some tips for when I head out on my kayak. Also, does anyone know any good places around Brisbane to get a first fish on a lure. Thanks heaps
