  1. I reckon try the tape method I use . Hayden at Wyld about boats deals with these Mercs daily and seems to know his ****. I use these to support the motor .
  2. You can see the strap I use breifly in this video , also the tape on the side water pick up. As mentioned I also tape the high speed pick up and then put the strap over it . The strap came with the motor and boat on delivery. VID_27400811_001618_580.mp4
  3. No worries. With all my boats I've always flushed for 10-15 mins . Same deal with this one. Never had a problem with engine temp before when flushing but this is the biggest donk I've had. The motor just sucks alot of water so if it ain't getting enough it will over heat. I just use the grey duct tape.
  4. I have the V6 200. I was using the strap/plug to block the high speed pick up , the muffs that pump in water both sides. The donk was getting hot each time I flushed it. Eventually one arvo the warning came on that it was over heated( I got distracted with the neighbour over the fence and a beer) I spoke to Tim who put me onto Hayden at Wyld about boats . I took Hayden's advice and haven't had a problem since. I now tape the high speed pick up and put the strap over it, I tape one side of the water pick ups and use the old school water in one side muffs. Temp stays stable now .
  5. Looks awesome mate, I must say I'm a little jealous
  6. Cheers boys, Definitely going to have a crack at a casting deck. Yep Im happy as with the baitmate setup, has a shelf under the board and is easy as to remove when not needed. I'll post a pick from the front, keep in mind it's just sitting there and not fitted properly in the pic that's why it's on an angle and not at the right height. Love that hatch door in the helm as well rusty I'm going to steal that idea as well. Once again, let's figure out a date for an owners run. Cheers Jade
  7. Hi all, I've got one as well, effin love it. Had it since November 2020. I have the V6 200 merc. I'm on the northern Gold Coast. I changed from the 3 blade to the 4 blade under recommendation from tim from stejcraft. It took all the chine walk out of it, massive difference. It's so stable now. I've fitted a baitmate board that drops into the ski pole hole and bolts up at the bottom. Fitted a couple stainless rod holders in the rear gunwales. It's going in shortly for a sav winch with remote and a bimini. I'm interested in seeing some picks of the casting deck some of you blokes have fitted, I'd like to make one. Should organise a day out for us owners Cheers
