It was absolutely amazing! We ended up staying a week camping at Macquarie Heads in Strahan. I was surprised that the wife and kids loved it too. We were able to take our car right up to the water on the beaches and fish from the boot, which the mrs. loved even more. All that paired with dirt bikes, quad bike and vast expanses of open beaches and huge sand dunes made for the perfect getaway.

Hi all, I am going to be traveling to the West Coast of Tasmania in about a week and am hoping to get lots of fishing in. I have heard there is some amazing saltwater fishing in and around Strahan and some pretty decent inland fishing in lake burbury, Queenstown Tasmania. Have any other member fished these areas? I have been looking at photos online and the areas look so picturesque and amazing.

Hi, I finally have decided to join after being a long time lurker. I'm located on the North coast of Tasmania, though am hoping to regularly visit and learn about all the fishing available on the West Coast of Tasmania as, I have hears its amazing.
