Hi, getting back into fishing after 30 years. Have just bought this rig and plan on using it in a fresh water dam for cod and just off shore for snapper. Only dipping my toes in the water and realise that it won't be a perfect set up, can anyone recommend a decent spool of line to suit the reel?

Here's my mate Jax. He's a mad legend and goes everywhere with me. Can't put on my hat without him spinning in circles knowing it's time to get in the car or the boat.

I hope so. I've got a lot to learn and just plan on doing a few close in trips off of Coffs to start.

Thanks ellicat, I bought a 4.8m tinnie with a 60hp 2 stroke. It's an ex council boat from new and only ever used in fresh water pretty much for water testing.

Hi all, Have done a bit of offshore fishing in the past with mates but have never had my own boat to have a go. Recently bought a boat and keen to learn as much as possible before getting out there.
