After being out of action for a while with some bad stress fractures to the knee I spent a bit of downtime watching monster carp. On top of that we're booked into finally heading back to Thailand for a month's holiday so it might be a good idea to practice the same bait fishing technique they use over there, that is also very similar to how those fellas fish for carp. So it might be a bit easier on the legs and be good practice to see if I can bag myself a 30lb carp. So it might be time to dig out some burley cages and try some different hook set ups, I figure if it works good here, then it should work really well in a fish park. It might even be effective in miniature for fishing for stocked trout in some ponds that I know.

The wife took the carp I caught the other day by accident to work and they had it for staff dinner. It was such a hit she asked me to catch another, so I bought some worms and put a line into soak while I flicked a lure about and ended up hooking this 15lb monster. That should keep her happy.
