  1. Seeing we have a whole month of no snapper fishing I was thinking of hitting up the winter whiting to use as baits when the snaps are back on! What do you think Of the plan? Surely snaps can’t resist after a good mating session. They need to get there energy back up and running Any tips on good whiting spots legends?
  2. A snuck our for an arvo session in the yak floating pilles and squid and first trip I’ve had never give up thou! I’ll keep at it! Still trying to convince the misses I need a tinnie
  3. Went for a land based session with a mate yesterday evening in Redcliffe. Had to take advantage of the weather, wind and tide. Would have taken the tinnie out but with a curfew placed on my mate we had to maximize fishing time. Within 10 minutes of arriving I had missed a run and then my mate reeled in a decent 40cm Tailor. We got our hopes up for a solid Tailor session. What actually followed was an on/off patchy bite of mainly flathead. The best two going mid fifties. Nice and plump fish but the laziest fighters I have ever come across! Bait was a mix of prawns and pilchards. Hope more Tailor arrive in the bay soon.
  4. Hi all, Anyone interested coming for a fish next weekend (Sun 21/01/2018) with the early morning low tides off Redcliffe from the land (no boat, just landbased) send us a PM or reply here and let's all catch up. Anyone is welcome obviously, just need to bring some bait and gear. I usually go out on my own so any company is welcome and appreciated. Let us know if you're keen or have questions etc. Look forward to meeting some of you.

  6. Hi all... i grew up in North Queensland fishing the estuaries and the occasional trip to the reef... Im now living in North Brisbane area where its safe to say the game is a whole lot different. Although Ive been here about 5 years Ice worked away a lot and with a young family havent had a lot of opportunity to wet a line. Im hoping to get to know locals and share opinions and perhaps even learn something. Cheers, Raz

  9. Hi new to this I was hoping to get some advice about fishing landbased at scarborough boat harbour on the boat ramp side ive fished here quite abit but am getting sick of the bream and after something bigger ive recently set up two rods a bigger outfit of 10 ft surf rod paired with a baitrunner normally use whole pillies gang hooked for something bigger and then a 7ft estuary set up for smaller species i switched from prawns to mullet for bait as it last abit longe. Any advice on what/how to target species would be much appreciated
