Join hundreds of competitors from across Australia, setting out in boats to compete for prizes. This year, there's a prize pool of cash and product totalling around 120 prizes, valued at well over AUD30,000.00.

Although snapper is the big draw card, other categories cater for a variety of fish species, blue swimmer crabs and sections especially for the youngsters.

The Australian Snapper Championships attracts thousands of locals to the Whyalla marina over the three days to check out the weigh-in action and follow the leader board.
