The Cairns Bluewater Game Fishing Club Inc, formally Half Moon Bay GFC,the friendliest Club in Cairns, Far North Queensland.


 


The club conducts competitions for it's members and holds an annual Light Tackle Billfish tournament in August over three days.


 


Cairns Bluewater Billfish Tournament attracts anglers from local,national and overseas regions as this prestige event is a qualifyer for the IGFA Offshore World Championships held in Mexico each May.


 


Cairns Bluewater Game Fishing Club is afiliated with QGFA,GFAA and IGFA and the club actively promote tag and release.


 


Cairns and the Great Barrier Reefs are renowned for it's Black Marlin grounds around the world,with juvenile Marlin and Sailfish July to March,with the Big Black Marlin usually arriving September to December months.
