  1. The place gets flogged on a daily basses. The spots in the canals metioned above are fished alot less and do hold good fish. But if it is flathead you are after then try the many sand flats from the powerlines at russel upto the bar. Fish them from a high tide to run out, with 2 to 5 inch soft plastics and an aray of hardbodies and also lightly weighted live and dead baits.

  2. What's done is done just move on guys :)

Btw thanks denny haha! How good was the trip back from mud lol

^^^Mate we were luck to make it back from mud. I found out what's wrong with the motor, theres a short in the wiring against the top of the motor/ no.1 spark plug causing it too only run on one cylinder. Don't know how too fix it or what its gonna cost. But hopefully I can get it done before christmas, (although I doubt it) so we can go hit that drop off on a high tide.

  3. Common sense above everything I guess? I always try too help out however I can and hopefully some of the guys I've been out with can confirm this. Listen to your skipper and thank them for getting you out on the water!!

    I'll confirm this :PB)

did a mate tell you about this? or did you watch it off that free dvd that came with BNB or QFM? .. It's on one of Mark Berg's free dvds

I saw it on this dvd. My copy came free with a purchase from tackle warehouse. I think I'll stick with a cast net, seems more effective :P

  5. My brother and I used to catch them about 12ish years ago in the scrubby creek at Browns plains. Left over sauages (cooked) used to work a treat, any cooked meat thats been in the fridge for the night works well. I had an operah trap in one of the creeks on fraser (years ago before I found out about the 'creek laws') It was in over night, checked it in the morning to find a bloody big fat eel half inside it.
