    Being cheap myself I don't spend a lot as I can not catch fish on a cheap rod and reel as I can on an expensive one. Seriously though I just bought a couple of Daiwa Aird X rods and Laguna LT 2500 reels, they seem great for bream, they're budget alright but I haven't got the skill to spend heaps, but like others have said it's whatever you desire and feel comfortable spending.
