    The Gold Coast 2012 Flathead Classic is building to be a great event. Whether you are a tournament regular or a first timer this iconic tournament now in its 19th year should be on your calendar.It is so much more than a fishing comp with a great event wrapped around excellent fishing.the Gold Coast is renowned for its big flathead and there is no better time to go crocodile hunting than this time of year. The format is over 2.5 days and is a eco friendly catch and release comp, so no live wells are needed. What you do need though is a digital camera to capture your catches with against the tournament ruler which is provided at our briefing. Please note it is a lure and fly comp so sorry no bait allowed. A full copy of the rules is avaialble on the site.

    The comp can be fished as a team of 2 or team of 3 and we have Champion Team and individual trophy categories along with some other species trophies. However all of our big prizes are won by random draw! Yes thats right you dont have to be the best angler to take home the great Blue Fin Wildcat, Suzuki Outboard,Oceanic Trailer package!

    Our entry fee includes: Tournament entry, a team Tournament Bag packed full of goodies, Tournament Shirt for each angler plus 3 dinners and one lunch .Your entry into the Carlton Mid rich fish and the Lucky random draw No onsite camping is available and accomodation is your responsibility. A number of local accomodation places including Rays resort, Coomera Houseboats and Thornton Towers are offering a discount if you mention the Flathead Classic!

    We are famous for our bumper raffles so be sure to bring along some cash each night to get amongst the prizes. We also have a casting comp and other promtoional activities and entertainment.

    Saturday the 6th and Sunday 7th of October 2012The Annual Tumby Bay Fishing Competition will be held on the 6th and 7th October with a first prize of $1000 for the heaviest King George whiting, and a $500 junior first prize. There will be over 25 category winners so everyone has a chance to win a prize.Come spend 2 days fishing at the wonderful town of Tumby Bay. Fish the lovely pristine waters of the St Joseph’s Banks of Groups and surrounding the town’sPrizes for all ages and gendersLand and boat and open categoriesAll money raised will be kindly donated to the local ses as a thank you for everything they have doneEntry FeesAdult $15, Junior $10. (Junior is 15 years and under on the 7/10/12)Note: Junior competitors compete for the junior prize. If juniors wish to compete for the adult prize they must register as an adult.To EnterAll competitors must complete a registration form and sign acceptance of these rules and conditions.
