  1. Hi everyone We are heading to Stanage for week in May and I'm wondering if anyone has been up there recently and might be able to help me with a few tips and/or pointers for the local area. We have a 5.2 meter Stacer (1980 hull, not one of the new ones!!) which has always been a reasonable boat in reasonable weather. In my younger days I lived and worked in Port Hedland and had the boat there for a few years, on good days we were quite happy to be 30-40 NM off shore and always felt quite safe in the boat. A mate is also taking his 14' tinny to chase crabs in the local area. The Stanage area looks like a minimum of 20 NM offshore to get to the start of the reasonable reef systems so i am confident the boat will be fine so long as we have reasonable weather. Do any of you have any recent experience of the Stanage area and willing to give up any of your secrets? Cheers Aaron
