  1. This is second part of my first trip to Durras North Beach. Caught 2x Salmon and 1x Trevally.
  2. "stormsandfishing" just told me on YouTube that this is a Bonze Whaler Shark as a gummy would be skinnier, grey with white spots on it’s back and have smaller teeth hence the name.
  3. Went to Durras North Beach recently and had a great time. Caught one 95cm Gummy Shark, 2x Salmon and 1x Travelli. The video below is a report of how the Shark was caught.
  4. I was using a Paternoster rig with two hooks. The top hook had defrosted Squid and the bottom one had defrosted Pilchard. This Flathead went for Squid. Same thing happened in my previous video too. On this beach, Flatheads seem to have a preference for Squid.
  5. Bengello Beach delivers again. Caught this 52cm Flathead this time, was fishing right next to Bengello Creek. There is a couple of gutters there, both parallel to the shore and vertical to it (seen from above). This Flathead was caught in the gutter that is vertical to the shore.
  6. Thanks for the encouragement guys. Appreciated. I made a point of going fishing during the pandemic every time lockdown was relaxed. It paid off big time as most fishing spots were deserted and I could easily explore various areas and find new fishing spots.
  7. Watch my 2020 fishing rewind video below (mostly freshwater fishing in ACT). It was a good fishing year despite the pandemic and despite the bushfires. How was your fishing year?
  8. Has anyone else had any success on Bengello Beach (Broulee side or Moruya side) recently?
  9. This was my first attempt at drone fishing and it was rewarded beyond my expectations. I used my Hubsan Zino to fly a Paternoster rig out to about 100m and got a double hookup. I was using defrosted Squid on the top hook and Pilchard on the bottom hook. This area is recommended for beach/drone fishing. See the full video report below with location information:
  10. Hello All, Introducing... Mossy Point Lookout, a stunningly beautiful place on South Coast, NSW. Judging by what I found on the internet, this is a good fishing spot. Although, I have not caught anything here myself but I got some bites when I was here last time. This place is so gorgeous that I decided to make a separate video just to show the beauty of this place. I am hoping that I will soon catch something here and thus be able to make a fishing video about it. Until then enjoy this video and let me know what you think? Has anyone experience with fishing at this place?
  11. I have tried it once. Despite bleeding it thoroughly and cooking in curry spices, it was pretty ordinary. A Fijian friend told me that if you keep the Carp alive in a tub full of tap water for 2-3 days then it tastes much better. But that sounds like too much trouble to me. Yes, river Carp seems to be healthier and shinier than lake Carp so I guess it must be slightly better.
  12. Thanks mate. Hope you catch your first Murray Cod and Carp soon. Murray Cod is an impressive fish and smart too as it can unhook itself by rolling, was really impressed when I saw that first time, must have taken some presence of mind to pull that one off! Carp is fun to catch too as it runs like a steam train and keeps on running until you land it.
  13. Thanks for the encouragement, mate. Your feedback on the videos will be appreciated too, when possible.
  14. Hello all, I am new to this site and just wanted to share that Lower Molonglo River in Canberra is an excellent fishing area. I have been fishing this area for a while now and have caught several good sized Murray Cod and many Carp of course. If you are ever in Canberra then fishing in this area is highly recommended. The map below shows some of the good fishing spots that I have caught fish from: https://www.youtube.com/post/Ugw4mTRjC5nvgEvxlM94AaABCQ Below are some examples of fish caught in this area: Murray Cod Caught in Molonglo River After Heavy Rains https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=By8QGSnZkvo 62cm Murray Cod Caught in Molonglo River https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r8zJq6o6QIA 3min Fight with 3kg Carp at Lower Molonglo River https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kXG5RKKQavg&t=2s Let me know what you think about this area and the videos shared?
  15. Ok, thanks for the suggestions and the welcome.
  16. Thanks mate. I have not been able to catch Kingfish or Tailor on South Coast. What bait works best and does it have to be fresh?
