Also can you guys recommend a battery to power the motor, anything under $250 for the battery.

Hi guys I just bought a new fishing kayak (next generation 10 by kayaks2fish)was hoping to get some opinions on a gps fish finder $250 or below.i have found 2 at the moment which one would you guys recommend (I'm a newbie) Garmin striker plus 4 with built in gps or LOWRANCE HOOK2 4X with gps? Or any other fish finders you know of? Also what size/pound electric motor would u recommend? Also as a new kayak fisher is there nothing else you can recommend me on buying? I have a dry bag,anchor,tackle boxes, life vest,trolley. Are stabilisers worth on buying?

Ok thanks guys I'll have another crack at it tommorow,I'm land based fishing around cotton tree.might hire a yak and paddle out to the sand flats in the middle opposite picnic point.

Hello I'm up in Maroochydore for the next 10 days I'm trying to catch a flathead or anything really on soft plastics.ive got one fish (not flathead) after about 5 hours of casting so far.is anyone able to teach me for 2-3 hours paid tuition?
