Yeah its a pretty big hole. I can actually put my whole body thru it so not sure if i will be able to stich her up.  Then i gotta try find another land based spot for some prawns.

Hey guys. Decided i needed some essential seafood last night so went down to redland bay with my cast net and a rod. Caught a few whiting and even a legal one which was a good win unfortuantly it was at the cost of my cast net which ripped on the rocks while tryna catch some prawns. At least i got a few prawns before it ripped. So now im tossing up wether its worth reparing or if i should take a trip to bcf to buy a new one.....maybe a bigger one

Alright, yeah. I reckon you should get another net in that case, as it will throw so much differently. It is up to you though, stitch it first and see if you sill think it will be good 🙂. Colmslie Jetty is my spot for lots, high tides are when you normally get them. There aren't any snags and there is heaps of herring around too. It is very well fished though.

Sounds like you had a pretty good session until you ripped your net, the same thing happened to me a while back. I stitched mine up but it throws quite differently now so I still need to get used to it. 🙂
