  1. Hi Drop Bear! This Bass fanatic is so secretive it would have been inappropriate of me to ask him for a copy of the photo. I landed my Wivenhoe PB Bass at 56cm that day and he was fishing 300m away.

I do have a photo of a 60cm Wivenhoe Bass which I can share with you over a cuppa at a Cafe. It was caught by a different Bass fisho. Cheers!

  2. Yes, a great Aussie Bass over 3kg that few of us can match. Thanks for sharing the photo Ellicat!

There are big Bass in our Qld Dams. Bass fishos are secretive, many fish alone and they catch some big Bass. Biggest I have seen is a 615mm Wivenhoe Bass on a mat in 2015. Cheers!

  3. Great write up Luke on a grand old lady. My commiserations Dino, I was really hoping you would boat her again when she grew to a 60cm plus bass. I find bass over 55cm can sometimes release poorly. Reason could be the old age of the fish. These bass need to be returned to the water asap. And at times the fisho needs to swim the bass for 10-15 minutes to fully revive it. This is especially so for big river bass when the oxygen level of the water is low. Happy Bassin!

    Cheers... Joe.

  4. Thanks Guys!

When Paul was pulled forward while fighting the 56cm tailor I knew it was a good fish. They know how to make the most of a fast running current. Fishing at night I always use bait and last night it was pilchards.

Damien, a few nights past when it was a full moon, a fisho mate was casting slugs 7-8pm and scored some nice tailor on the beach at Sea World.
