  1. Email address of the secretary is caboolture.fsg@gmail.com AGM is Thursday night 6:30 at one of the members places at Deception bay Peter only checks the email address every month or two, pretty laid back group. But as AGM is this week, I suspect he will be checking the email wednesday. I think they are also doing a tagging day on the Caboolture Weir this sunday.
  2. January 2012 was fully stocked, January 2013, we spent our last few bucks, about $2000 worth of fingerlings went in across all 3 areas.
  3. Yeah we stocked it regularly until funding was stopped. Both the Caboolture Weir and Waraba weir. Used to stock the Stanley above Woodford Weir as well, but SEQ Water locked us out of the off stream storage facility when they took it over.
  4. Never had or used a 16. thats an awful lot of rod! I prefer 12's. I had a couple of 14's over the years but I reckon they were less sensitive and a bit unwieldy, but they were not a high end rods, just wilson surf rods. To be honest they just felt sloppy.
  5. Yep. But they are getting hard to get. Luckily I have a sizable stash!
  6. Size 3 Stump Jumper Anything with gold in it. It has become my go to flathead lure, been slaying them for the last 6 months, and its ability to get down deep quickly in the snags makes it great for tight mangrove creeks. Not bad for bycatch of the odd Cod either. Only fish I got in the Coomera river on the weekend was a cod on a gold stumpy.
  7. Drop in and see Nigel at Ningi bait and tackle, he will steer you right for spots and bait. There are a few drop offs and coffee rock reefs worth fishing in the passage. Best ramp if staying on Bribie is Spinnaker Sound, on the Main land just east of the bridge.
